Impala Rustenburg extends vaccination programme into community schools

Impala Rustenburg recently held a school vaccination drive in Freedom Park to make Covid-19 vaccinations accessible to young people.

Impala Rustenburg’s Chief Executive Mark Munroe said, “The health and safety of our children is our priority and we will continue to work with various stakeholders and our communities to ensure vaccinations are readily available to our communities.”

The vaccination drive forms part of a multi-faceted and well-established school support programme that has been run by Impala Rustenburg in mine community schools for many years, and includes the likes of teacher support, learner support, infrastructure development, career expo’s, bursary programmes, and much more. It is also part of a larger vaccination campaign that has been run by Impala Rustenburg since May 2020, which has to-date resulted in over 98 824 Covid-19 vaccination doses being administered by Impala Rustenburg.
